How Does Gratitude Assist Your Health?

Two points have come my way lately with regard to “gratitude”.
- The people who exercise are more likely to be grateful for everything in their life and they also spend more time thinking before reacting or acting. I was sitting in a café in a business meeting and a gentleman told me that I am more grateful for things and he told the group that he thinks I exercise more than they did because of my responses to questions and discussions that were taking place. Everyone was “gobsmacked” and on questioning him, he said that there are studies to show that people who exercise are calmer about their responses and think more about their responses because they speak more from their heart and not their head. He proceeded to tell each person what level of exercise he felt they did from their responses and he was 100% correct……interesting.
- I have been working with a person this year who has had some mental instability and I used the “Gratitude Prayers” to take her from the upset in her head to the calming of her heart. It was amazing and instant. Try it yourself. Whenever you are uptight about something or someone just stop and think of all the things you are grateful for and you can feel the muscles in your head and face calm down immediately. The “problem” also becomes miniscule in comparison. What you are doing is taking the problem away from your head and transferring the energy to your heart in a positive way.
I am grateful for you
